Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
Jeenra is a daily music discovery app operated by Picode Limited ("Picode", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10450465) with its registered office at 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
This policy explains what we collect when you use the Jeenra app and the jeenra.com website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Questions: [email protected].
What we collect
Account data. When you sign in with Apple, Google or an email code we receive your email address and, if the provider shares it, your name. We create an account identifier for you. We never see or store a password.
Your music taste. You can connect a streaming service (Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube Music). We read the artists and songs you listen to or have saved so we can build your taste profile, and we store an access token to keep that connection working. We do not post to your streaming account or change anything in it.
How you use Jeenra. The songs we pick for you each day, how you rate them, the artists and songs you save, and the comments you write about a song. We use these to make the next day's picks better.
Purchases. If you subscribe to Jeenra Pro, Apple processes the payment. We receive a confirmation of your subscription status from Apple, never your card details.
Notifications. If you allow push notifications, we store the device token needed to send them.
Technical data. When the app crashes or hits an error we receive a crash report with your device model, operating system version, app version and the steps that led to the error. We also record which screens and features are used, tied to your account identifier only, not your email or your IP address (IP addresses are discarded on receipt).
We do not collect your precise location, your contacts, your photos or your advertising identifier, and we do not use any advertising networks.

Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf, under contracts that limit what they may do with it:
- Supabase (database, authentication, hosted in the EU) and Railway (application servers, hosted in the EU) store and run Jeenra.
- Google Workspace sends our emails, including sign-in codes.
- Sentry receives crash reports. PostHog (EU) receives usage events linked to your account identifier.
- OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes to receive the text needed to write pick explanations and to understand your comments. We send only the song and artist names, your ratings and your comment text, never your email or name.
- Apple handles sign-in with Apple, push notification delivery and all payments.
- Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube Music, when you choose to connect one, under that service's own privacy policy.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it, or to a buyer if Picode is sold, in which case this policy continues to apply.
International transfers
Your data is stored in the United Kingdom and the European Union. Some providers above operate in the United States; where data is transferred there we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or the provider's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you have an account. If you delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete Account) we delete your profile, taste data, picks, ratings, comments and connections immediately; crash reports and usage events linked to your identifier are deleted or anonymised within 90 days. Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Backups are overwritten within 35 days.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email [email protected] and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority in the EU.
If you live in California, the rights above cover your rights under the CCPA to know, delete and correct your data; we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Children
Jeenra is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age), and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We will post any changes here and update the date at the top. For material changes we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
